Terms of service

1. About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses Doktorio (doktorio.cz), which is operated by Prague K. Onur Ozman ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. Sections 6–8 apply only to practices.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

2. What Doktorio is — and is not

Doktorio is a directory of doctors, dentists, clinics and hospitals in Czechia. You can search for practices, read and write reviews, and send appointment requests. For patients and visitors, the site is free.

We are not a healthcare provider and we do not give medical advice. Information on the site, including articles, is general information only and does not replace a consultation with a qualified professional. In an emergency, call 112 or 155.

3. Using the site

When you use the site, you must not:

• use it for any unlawful purpose or in a way that harms other users, practices or us;
• collect data from it with bots, scrapers or other automated tools without our written permission;
• try to break, overload or get around the security of the site;
• submit false information, impersonate someone else or send requests on another person's behalf without their permission.

4. Appointment requests

• An appointment request is a request to the practice, not a confirmed appointment. The practice decides whether and when it can see you, and contacts you to confirm.
• We pass your request on, but we cannot guarantee that a practice will reply, has availability, or accepts your health insurance.
• The practice alone is responsible for the care it provides, its prices and its own cancellation rules.
• Please give accurate contact details and let the practice know if you can no longer attend.

5. Reviews

Reviews help other patients choose. To keep them useful and fair, every review must:

• be based on your own genuine experience with the practice or doctor;
• not contain insults, hate speech, threats or personal attacks;
• not contain personal data or health details of other people;
• not be advertising, spam or a link to other services;
• not be written by the practice itself, its staff or its competitors, and not be paid for or rewarded in any way.

"Verified patient" reviews are written through a one-time link that we send after the practice marks your appointment as completed. Other reviews are not verified in this way.

Practices can reply to reviews publicly and report reviews they believe break these rules. We check reports and may remove reviews that break the rules, without notice. Paying for Doktorio Pro has no effect on whether a review is published or removed.

You are responsible for what you write. By posting a review you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to publish and display it on the site.

6. Practices: listings and claims

• A basic listing is free. Some profiles are created from publicly available information; the practice can claim its profile to manage it.
• Claim a profile only if you are authorised to act for that practice. We may ask for proof and may reject or withdraw a claim.
• You must keep your profile accurate and up to date. We may edit, hide or remove information that is incomplete, wrong or misleading.
• You are responsible for everyone you give access to your dashboard (managers and assistants).
• You must have the rights to the texts, photos, videos and tours you upload. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to display them on the site for as long as they are part of your profile.

7. Practices: patient data in the dashboard

When you manage appointment requests, patient notes, treatment history or files in the dashboard, or email patients from it, you are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf as your processor under Art. 28 GDPR, as described in our Privacy policy.

• You are responsible for having a legal basis for the data you record and for meeting your obligations as a healthcare provider.
• If you connect other tools to your dashboard (for example an AI assistant through an access key), you choose that provider and are responsible for sharing data with it.

8. Doktorio Pro subscription

• Doktorio Pro is a paid subscription for practices that adds extra features, as described on the Pro page. It is a service for businesses.
• The price is shown in Czech crowns before you pay. The subscription is billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Invoices are issued electronically and sent to your email address.
• If a payment fails, Pro features may be switched off until the payment succeeds.
• If we change the price, the new price applies only from a billing period that starts after we have told you about it. You can cancel before then.

Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in your dashboard ("Manage subscription") or through the subscription cancellation form. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and you are not charged again. Your profile then stays online as a free listing.

9. Accounts and security

• Use a strong password and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us straight away at info@doktorio.cz if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
• Do not create an account in someone else's name.

10. Intellectual property

The site, its design, software, logo and our own content belong to us or our licensors. You may view them for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, distribute or reverse engineer them, or use the Doktorio name and logo, without our written permission.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the site available, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. Where a change significantly reduces what a paying Pro subscriber receives, the subscriber may cancel as described in section 8.

12. Liability

• Practice information and reviews come from practices, public sources and users. We do our best to keep them accurate, but we do not guarantee that they are complete or up to date.
• We are not responsible for the services, advice or treatment that practices provide.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit or data, to the extent the law allows.
• For practices, our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount paid for Doktorio Pro in the 12 months before the claim arose.
• None of these limits apply to harm to life or health, or to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if these terms are broken, if we suspect fraud or misuse, or if the law requires it. You can stop using the site at any time, and practices can ask us to close their account.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, please stop using the site and, as a practice, cancel your subscription.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and the Czech courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Consumers can also use out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, www.coi.cz).
