Verified patient reviews
When a patient books through Doktorio and the appointment is completed, their review shows a green “Verified patient” badge on the profile.
At Doktorio, trust comes first. Here we explain clearly where reviews come from, how ratings are calculated, how verified patient reviews work and how your privacy is protected.
Are you a patient? Explore clinics or read how ratings are calculated.
Reviews come from real people, your privacy is protected and a single review can’t unfairly change a practice’s rating.
When a patient books through Doktorio and the appointment is completed, their review shows a green “Verified patient” badge on the profile.
Reviews show only a shortened name on the page. Only the doctor or practice being reviewed sees the full name.
Thanks to a balanced average, a single 5-star or a single malicious 1-star review can’t push a practice to the extremes.
Practice owners can’t delete or edit a review; they can only reply. Reviews stay impartial.
Where do reviews come from?
Ratings and reviews are left by real people who visited the clinic or doctor. The practice owner can reply to them.
Verified review
An appointment booked through Doktorio is marked “Completed” in the practice dashboard.
If we have your email address, you receive a “Rate your experience” email; otherwise the practice sends you the link.
Use the personal, single-use link to give your rating and describe your experience.
Your review is published on the profile with a green “Verified patient” badge.
Verification and moderation
Practices can reply to reviews and report inappropriate content; the decision always rests with the Doktorio moderation team.
The “Verified” badge marks doctors and practices whose ownership has been confirmed.
Practice owners can report a review they consider inappropriate, giving a reason.
Only the Doktorio moderation team decides on a report: hide, remove or reject.
Practices can’t delete or edit a review; they can only reply.
Rating calculation
On Doktorio, ratings are calculated with a balanced (Bayesian) average. Before it has any reviews, every profile starts from a neutral baseline of about 4.2. The reason is simple: to stop a single review from unfairly pushing a practice to the extremes.
So one 5-star review doesn’t instantly make a clinic 5.0, and one malicious 1-star review can’t sink a practice either. The rating starts from a balanced middle point until a real community view has formed.
As real reviews build up, the rating moves towards the practice’s true average and the baseline matters less and less. On profiles with no reviews, this value is labelled “starting rating” — not a real community rating, but a fair starting point.
The rating on a profile is the average of all stars given to that practice. For the order in listings, a balanced average is used so that a single review can’t unfairly lift a practice to the top — one 5-star review won’t outrank a clinic with hundreds of reviews.
The more reviews there are, the more clearly the rating reflects the true average.
We can call you to explain how to reply to your practice’s reviews, how to report an inappropriate review and how patients receive a review link after their appointment. If you’re a patient and want to leave a review, use the “Share your experience” section on the Doktorio profile of the clinic or doctor you visited; you can explore clinics via the link at the top of this page.
