Say it instead of clicking
No digging through menus — one sentence is enough: list, move, block, reply. Long procedures and bulk changes take seconds instead of minutes.
Appointment requests, your calendar, patient reviews and patient emails can now be managed just by asking. Add the Doktorio MCP connection to an assistant such as Claude and get done in one sentence what you would otherwise click through in the dashboard.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to applications securely and in a controlled way. Doktorio supports it: your assistant can read your dashboard data and take actions with your approval.
No digging through menus — one sentence is enough: list, move, block, reply. Long procedures and bulk changes take seconds instead of minutes.
The assistant can’t step outside your dashboard’s rules: only your approved practices, checks for booked and blocked times, Pro restrictions and automatic patient notifications all apply.
You connect with a personal key and can revoke it at any time. The assistant asks for your approval before any action that changes data.
MCP is an open standard. The same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and MCP-compatible automation tools; only the setup snippet differs by assistant.
Supported assistants
Because MCP is an open standard, the same connection works in many assistants and tools.
How it works
The MCP connection is included in Doktorio Pro. One Pro practice on your account is enough.
Dashboard → Account → MCP connection. The key is shown only once; you can create up to 5 keys.
Paste the ready-made snippet from your dashboard into your assistant’s settings. Your key is filled in automatically.
Try it by saying "Show my practices". The assistant asks for your approval before any action that changes data or sends an email.
Security and privacy
The MCP connection follows your dashboard’s permission rules; you grant access and you remove it.
It is shown only once, when it is created. We store only a hashed version; nobody can see the key itself.
Requests made with a key you revoke in the dashboard are rejected immediately. Each key is limited to 120 requests per minute.
Other practices’ data and your account or payment details are out of reach. Clash checks, Pro restrictions and patient notifications work in MCP exactly as in the dashboard.
When your assistant reads a result, the data is passed to that assistant’s provider. Use a business plan or one with a data processing agreement, and avoid querying patient data you don’t need.
Tools
9 tools. Tools labelled Action change data or send emails, so your approval is requested. For setup snippets, see the Setup section.

Setup
Server URL: https://www.doktorio.cz/api/mcp. Authentication uses the Authorization: Bearer header. The MCP connection tab in your dashboard prepares these snippets with your key already filled in. Below, replace hkm_YOUR_KEY with your key.
You can create the key in your dashboard; the MCP connection is included in Doktorio Pro.
Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → turn on Developer mode. Then create a connector: name it Doktorio, paste the full address below (including the key) as the MCP server URL, and set Authentication to “No authentication”. Do not paste the key into the chat window — only into this address field.
https://www.doktorio.cz/api/mcp?key=hkm_YOUR_KEY
Run it once in your terminal. After that the "doktorio" tools are available in every session.
claude mcp add --transport http doktorio https://www.doktorio.cz/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer hkm_YOUR_KEY"
Open Settings → Developer → Edit config, add this to claude_desktop_config.json and restart the app. Node.js must be installed on your computer.

You can create your key yourself in Dashboard → Account → MCP connection. Fill in the form if you’d like us to set up the connection with you or show you live how the assistant works. The MCP connection is included in Doktorio Pro.
The MCP connection is included in Doktorio Pro at no extra cost. Your assistant’s own subscription (e.g. Claude) is billed separately by its provider.
Tools that change data or send emails are marked as "actions". Our server tells the assistant to get your approval before using them, and clients such as Claude ask you before running them. We recommend leaving auto-approve settings switched off.
Revoke the key straight away in Dashboard → MCP connection; requests made with it are rejected immediately. The key only reaches your approved practices, never your account or payment details.
No. The same rules apply as in the dashboard: times outside opening hours, blocked times and booked times are rejected, and the assistant sees the available times.
If your account has at least one Pro practice, you can manage requests and reviews for all your approved practices. Blocking days or hours works only for Pro practices, just as in the dashboard.
When your assistant runs a tool, the result (e.g. a patient’s name and phone number) is passed to that assistant’s provider. Because you handle personal health data, we recommend a business plan or one with a data processing agreement, and running only the queries you need.
